Edit Incentive Request

Make changes to your existing incentive request

Overview

You can edit your incentive requests under certain conditions. This allows you to update information, correct mistakes, or improve your request message before the provider processes it.


When Can You Edit?

✅ You CAN Edit If:

ConditionEditable
Status is DraftYes
Status is Requested AND Delivery Method is Shared LinkYes

❌ You CANNOT Edit If:

ConditionReason
Status is Requested with Email deliveryAlready sent to provider
Status beyond RequestedAlready being processed
Status is Completed or CancelledRequest is finalized
You're not the CreatorOnly creator can edit

How to Access Edit Page

  1. Go to Incentive Requests page
  2. Find your request in the table
  3. Click the action menu (⋮)
  4. Select "Edit Incentive Request"

Note: This option only appears when editing is allowed.


What You Can Edit

Editable Fields

Incentive TypeModify the type of incentive requested
Request TypeSwitch between Single and Group
Max Required MembersChange maximum members (Group only)

Message MaskingToggle privacy settings

Non-Editable After Submission

Step-by-Step Editing

Step 1: Access the Edit Form

Navigate to the edit page using the action menu.

Step 2: Review Current Information

The form will be pre-filled with your existing data.

Step 3: Make Your Changes

Modify any of the editable fields as needed.

Step 4: Save Changes

Click Save or Update to apply your changes.


Editing Different Request Types

Single Requests

Edit all standard fields:

  • Entity information
  • Incentive type
  • Product/Service details
  • Request message

Group Requests

Additional considerations:

  • Max Required Members - Can increase or decrease limit
  • Changes may affect existing members
  • Members are notified of significant changes

Best Practices

Before Editing

Do:

  • Review the current request thoroughly
  • Check if editing is still allowed
  • Prepare your changes beforehand

During Editing

Do:

  • Make all necessary changes at once
  • Double-check URLs and names
  • Review your message for clarity

Don't:

  • Make frequent small edits
  • Change request type if members have joined
  • Remove important information

After Editing

Do:

  • Verify changes were saved
  • Notify provider if needed (for Shared Link)
  • Check messages for any impact

Special Scenarios

Switching from Single to Group

When changing from Single to Group:

  1. Specify maximum members
  2. You'll need to invite others to join
  3. Group features become available

Switching from Group to Single

When changing from Group to Single:

  1. Existing members may be affected
  2. Group features will be removed
  3. Consider notifying members first

Form Validation

The edit form validates:
