The Account section shows your core account information. Some details can be viewed but not edited directly from this page.
Viewing Your Account Information
Navigate to Settings > Account to see your account details:
Username

Important
This email is used for account notifications and password resets. Keep it up to date!
Account Status

Changing Your Username
Step-by-Step Process
- Navigate to Settings > Account
- Find the Username field
- Click the "Edit your username" link
- You'll be taken to the Edit Username page
- Enter your new username in the field
- Click "Change Username"
- Wait for the success message
- You'll be automatically redirected back to the Account page
Username Requirements

| Uniqueness | Must be unique - if someone else is using it, you'll need to choose a different one |

Choose a username that's professional and easy to remember.
If Your Username is Already Taken
- You'll see an error message
- Try adding numbers or underscores to make it unique
- Example: If "johnsmith" is taken, try "john_smith" or "johnsmith123"
Changing Your Email Address
Changing your email is a two-step process for security reasons.
Step 1: Request Email Change
- Navigate to Settings > Account
- Find the Email field
- Click the "Edit your email" link
- You'll be taken to the Edit Email page
- Enter your current email address in the "Current Email" field
- Enter your new email address in the "New Email" field
- Click "Save Changes (Step 1 of 2)"
- A verification email will be sent to your NEW email address
Step 2: Verify Your New Email
- Check your new email inbox (and spam folder if needed)
- Look for an email from Incentise with a verification code
- Copy the verification code from the email
- You'll be automatically redirected to the verification page
- Enter the verification code in the field
- Click "Verify Code (Step 2 of 2)"
- Wait for the success message
- You'll be redirected back to the Account page
Important Notes About Email Changes

| Email Availability | The new email cannot already be registered to another account |

If You Don't Receive the Verification Email
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Wait a few minutes - emails can take time to arrive
- Make sure you entered the new email address correctly
- Try requesting the change again
- Contact support if the problem persists
Troubleshooting
Can't Change Username
Problem: You get an error when trying to change your username.
Solutions:
- Make sure the username is at least 3 characters long
- Check that it only contains letters, numbers, and underscores
- The username might already be taken - try a different one
- Wait a moment and try again - there might be a temporary issue
Email Verification Code Not Received
Problem: You don't receive the verification email when changing your email.
Solutions:
- Check your spam or junk folder
