⚙️ Settings & Account Management
The Settings section allows you to manage your business account, configure your profile, and control various aspects of your Incentise account. This guide covers all available settings and account management features.
Profile Settings
👤 Business Profile Management
Access your profile settings to manage your personal information and business contact details.
Profile Information
- First Name (Required): Your business contact's first name (2-256 characters)
- Last Name (Optional): Your business contact's last name (up to 256 characters)
- Phone Number (Optional): Contact phone number (5-16 digits, numbers only)
- Phone Country Code (Optional): International country code for your phone number
Profile Picture
- Avatar Upload: Upload a profile picture to represent your business
- File Requirements:
- Maximum file size: 5MB
- Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Files are automatically renamed for security
📝 Updating Your Profile
- Navigate to Settings > Profile
- Fill in the required fields (First Name is mandatory)
- Upload an avatar if desired
- Click Save to update your profile
Account Settings
🔐 Account Information
View and manage your core account details in the Account section.
Account Details (View Only)
- Username: Your unique account identifier
- Email Address: Your registered email address
- Account Status: Current verification and activity status
- Account Type: Business account type (Vendor/Admin)
- Created Date: When your account was first created
- Last Modified: Most recent account update
✏️ Editable Account Information
Username Management
- Edit Username: Change your account username
- Requirements: 3-15 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores only
- Uniqueness: Username must be unique across the platform
- Process: Click "Edit your username" link in Account settings
Email Address Management
- Change Email: Update your registered email address
- Verification Required: New email must be verified via email code
- Security: Email change requests expire after a set time
- Process: Click "Edit your email" link in Account settings
Password Security
🔑 Change Password
Keep your account secure by regularly updating your password.
Password Requirements
- Length: 8-50 characters
- Complexity: Must contain at least:
- One uppercase letter
- One number
- Security: Cannot be the same as your current password
Change Password Process
- Navigate to Settings > Change Password
- Enter your current password for verification
- Create a new password meeting requirements
- Confirm your new password
- Save changes
🔓 Forgot Password
If you forget your password:
- Use the "Forgot Password" feature on the login page
- Enter your registered email address
- Check your email for a verification code
- Enter the code to verify your identity
- Create a new password
Funding Accounts
🏦 Bank Account Management
Manage your funding sources for business operations and payouts.
Adding a Funding Account
- Navigate to Settings > Funding Accounts
- Click Add Funding Account
- Select your payment provider
- Enter account description (optional, max 256 characters)
- Set account status (Active/Inactive)
- Save the account
Managing Existing Accounts
- View All Accounts: See a list of all your funding accounts
- Search: Find specific accounts using the search function
- Edit: Update account details and status
- Delete: Remove unused accounts (with confirmation)
- Status Management: Activate or deactivate accounts as needed
Account Features
- Payment Provider Integration: Connect with supported payment providers
- Account Descriptions: Add notes to identify different accounts
- Status Tracking: Monitor which accounts are active
- Pagination: Navigate through multiple accounts efficiently
💳 Payment Provider Support
The system supports various payment providers for funding accounts. Each account must be linked to a specific payment provider for processing transactions.
Account Deletion
🗑️ Delete Account Process
⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deletion Requirements
- Navigate to Settings > Delete Account
- Type exactly:
DELETE MY ACCOUNTin the confirmation field - Click Delete My Account button
- You will be automatically logged out
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
- Permanent Removal: Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted
- No Recovery: Deleted accounts cannot be restored
- Immediate Effect: The deletion is processed immediately
- Automatic Logout: You'll be redirected to the login page
Before Deleting Your Account
- Ensure all active programs are properly closed
- Resolve any outstanding transactions or balances
- Download any important business data you need to keep
- Consider account deactivation as an alternative
