Register as Incentive Recipient

Welcome to Incentise! This guide will walk you through creating your account as an incentive recipient. As an incentive recipient, you can request and earn cashback, discounts, and other rewards from businesses on the platform.

What is an Incentive Recipient?​

An incentive recipient is someone who:

  • Requests incentives (cashback, discounts) for products and services they want to purchase
  • Completes actions (like making purchases) to earn rewards
  • Receives payouts directly to their account
  • Helps businesses understand customer demand through their requests

This is different from an incentive provider (vendor), who creates and manages incentive programs for their business.

Before You Start​

Make sure you have:

  • ✅ A valid email address that you can access
  • ✅ A device with internet connection
  • ✅ About 5-10 minutes to complete registration

Registration Methods​

Incentise offers three ways to create your account. Choose the method that works best for you:

Method 1: Standard Registration (Password-Based)​

This is the traditional registration method where you create a password for your account.

Step 1: Navigate to Registration Page​

  1. Go to the Incentise website
  2. Click on "Register" or "Sign Up" button (usually located in the top right corner or on the homepage)
  3. You'll be taken to the registration page

Step 2: Fill Out the Registration Form​

You'll need to provide the following information:

Email Address

  • Enter your email address (e.g., [email protected])
  • Make sure it's an email you can access, as you'll need to verify it
  • The email will be converted to lowercase automatically

Username

  • Choose a unique username (3-30 characters)
  • Can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores
  • Examples: johndoe, jane_smith, user123
  • This will be your unique identifier on the platform
  • Note: If someone else has already taken your username, you'll need to choose a different one

Password

  • Create a strong password (8-50 characters)
  • Can contain letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Tip: Use a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols for better security
  • Make sure it's something you can remember, or use a password manager

User Type

  • Select "As an incentive recipient" from the dropdown menu
  • This tells the system you want to earn incentives, not provide them

Step 3: Submit Your Registration​

  1. Review all your information to make sure it's correct
  2. Click the "Register" button
  3. Wait a few seconds while your account is being created

Step 4: Check Your Email​

After clicking Register, you should see a success message saying:

"Your account has been created successfully... redirecting to verify email"

You'll be automatically redirected to the email verification page. Don't close this page!

Step 5: Verify Your Email Address​

Finding Your Verification Code:

  1. Open your email inbox (check the email address you used to register)
  2. Look for an email from Incentise with the subject: "Verify Your email"
  3. If you don't see it immediately:
    • Check your Spam or Junk folder
    • Wait 1-2 minutes and refresh your inbox
    • Make sure you're checking the correct email address

Entering the Verification Code:

  1. The verification code is a 6-digit number (e.g., 123456)
  2. Copy the code from the email, or write it down
  3. Go back to the verification page (you should already be there)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code in the "Verification Code" field
  5. Click "Verify Email"

If You Don't Receive the Code:

  • Click the "Resend Verification Code" button
  • Wait a few minutes and check your email again
  • Make sure you're checking the correct email address
  • Check your spam/junk folder

After Verification:

  • You'll see a success message: "Email verified successfully!"
  • You'll be automatically redirected to the login page
  • You can now log in with your email and password

Method 2: Google Sign-In (Quick & Easy)​

This method lets you register using your existing Google account. It's faster because you don't need to create a password.

Step 1: Start Registration​

  1. Go to the registration page
  2. Scroll down to find the "Continue with Google" button
  3. Click the button (it will have the Google logo)

Step 2: Sign In with Google​

  1. A popup window will appear asking you to sign in to Google
  2. Select the Google account you want to use
  3. If you're already signed in to Google, it may automatically use that account
  4. Review the permissions and click "Allow" or "Continue"

Step 3: Complete Your Profile​

After signing in with Google:

  • Your account will be created automatically
  • You may be asked to complete additional profile information
  • Your email and name from Google will be used for your account

Note: With Google Sign-In, you won't need to verify your email separately, as Google has already verified it.

This method sends you a special link via email that logs you in automatically. No password needed!

  1. On the registration page, scroll down to find "Register with Magic Link"
  2. Click the button (it will have a mail icon)
  3. You'll be taken to the Magic Link registration page

Step 2: Fill Out Your Information​

You'll need to provide:

Email Address

  • Enter your email address
  • Make sure it's an email you can access right now

First Name

  • Enter your first name (e.g., "John")

Last Name

  • Enter your last name (e.g., "Doe")

Username

  • Choose a unique username (3-30 characters)
  • Can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores
  • This will be your unique identifier on the platform

User Type

  • Select "As an incentive recipient"
  1. Review all your information
  2. Click "Send Magic Link"
  3. Wait a few seconds while the link is being sent

Step 4: Check Your Email​

You'll see a success message:

"Magic link sent to your email!"

Finding Your Magic Link:

  1. Open your email inbox
  2. Look for an email from Incentise with the subject: "Your Magic Link to Sign In"
  3. If you don't see it:
    • Check your Spam or Junk folder
    • Wait 1-2 minutes and refresh
    • Make sure you're checking the correct email

Important: The magic link expires in 15 minutes for security reasons.

  1. Open the email from Incentise
  2. Click the magic link button or link in the email
  3. Your browser will open and you'll be automatically logged in
  4. You'll be redirected to your dashboard or the homepage

Note: You can only use the magic link once. After clicking it, you'll need to request a new one if you want to log in again.

What Happens After Registration?​

Once you've successfully registered and verified your email, you can:

  1. Log In to your account using:

    • Your email and password (for standard registration)
    • Google Sign-In (if you used Google)
    • A new magic link (if you used magic link registration)

  2. Complete Your Profile (recommended):

    • Add your full name
    • Set up payout accounts (to receive cashback)
    • Upload a profile picture (optional)

  3. Start Earning Incentives:

    • Browse available incentive request programs
    • Submit your first incentive request
    • Complete actions to earn rewards

Common Issues and Solutions​

Issue: "User with given email already exists"​

Solution: This email is already registered. Try:

  • Logging in instead of registering
  • Using a different email address
  • Using the "Forgot Password" feature if you already have an account

Issue: "Username is already taken"​

Solution: Someone else is using that username. Try:

  • Adding numbers or underscores (e.g., johndoe123, john_doe)
  • Using a variation of your name
  • Being more creative with your username choice

Issue: "Invalid email address"​

Solution: Check that:

  • Your email contains an @ symbol
  • There's text before and after the @
  • There's a domain after the @ (e.g., gmail.com)
  • There are no spaces in the email

Issue: "Password is not valid"​

Solution: Make sure your password:

  • Is at least 8 characters long
  • Contains only allowed characters (letters, numbers, special characters)
  • Is not longer than 50 characters

Issue: "Verification code expired"​

Solution: Verification codes expire after a certain time. To fix this:

  • Click "Resend Verification Code" on the verification page
  • Check your email for the new code
  • Enter it quickly before it expires again

Issue: "Invalid verification code"​

Solution:

  • Make sure you're entering all 6 digits
  • Check that you copied the code correctly
  • Don't include any spaces or dashes
  • If you've tried 3 times, wait a moment and request a new code

Issue: Can't find the verification email​

Solution:

  1. Check your Spam or Junk folder
  2. Wait 2-3 minutes and refresh your inbox
  3. Make sure you're checking the correct email address
  4. Click "Resend Verification Code" on the verification page
  5. Check if your email provider is blocking emails from Incentise

Solution: Magic links expire after 15 minutes. To fix this:

  • Go back to the magic link registration page
  • Fill out the form again
  • Request a new magic link
  • Check your email immediately and click the link right away

Tips for Successful Registration​

Choose a Good Username​

  • Make it memorable but unique
  • Avoid using personal information like your full name or birthdate
  • Consider using a combination of your name and numbers
  • Keep it professional if you plan to use it publicly

Create a Strong Password​

  • Use at least 12 characters
  • Mix uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include numbers and special characters
  • Don't use common words or personal information
  • Consider using a password manager

Use a Real Email Address​

  • Use an email you check regularly
  • Make sure you can access it during registration
  • Don't use temporary email services (they may not receive verification emails)
  • Consider using a personal email rather than a work email

Keep Your Information Safe​

  • Never share your password with anyone
  • Don't use the same password for multiple accounts
  • Be cautious of phishing emails (Incentise will never ask for your password via email)
  • Log out when using shared computers
